Anthology Solutions is recruiting experienced software engineers (Java or .NET) for an enterprise client's engineering team in downtown San Francisco. The team focuses on AI-augmented software development, using generative AI throughout the software development lifecycle while maintaining high standards for quality, security, performance, and maintainability. Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java or .NET.
- Use generative AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude to support development, debugging, testing, and documentation.
- Take ownership of manually written and AI-generated code, including review, testing, and validation before production release.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
- Define prompts, task specifications, and acceptance criteria that guide AI tools and agents effectively.
- Apply specification-driven development practices to structure implementation.
- Design and develop AI agents, including workflows, tool integrations, and orchestration logic.
- Review AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, performance, and suitability; refine or reject outputs when appropriate.
- Develop and improve unit, integration, and regression tests using AI-assisted tools, with sufficient coverage before deployment.
- Identify performance, reliability, security, and technical-debt issues early and drive remediation.
- Modernize existing applications using AI-assisted approaches to improve maintainability and performance.
- Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Contribute to prompt-engineering standards and share AI-enabled engineering practices across the team.
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, system design, object-oriented programming, databases, networking, concurrency, and CI/CD.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in Java or .NET.
- Ability to review and validate AI-generated code for quality, security, and performance.
- Understanding of agentic workflows, AI-assisted development, and specification-driven development.
- Experience with prompt engineering and structured AI interactions.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building AI agents using LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications.
